Temporary Postponement of Exhibition

Due to contractual negotiations taking longer than expected, we have unfortunately been unable to move into our pop up exhibition space along Torquay Highstreet in time for May. Due to this uncertainty and for all of the artists involved, we have taken the difficult decision to push our show back to later in the year.

Sometimes unexpected things happen along the way that are quite simply out of your control and we apologise for this. As frustrating as it is; it is better to plan a good show in the future, than rush a show in a matter of weeks just for the sake of it.

I would like to thank all of the artists who submitted work, the people who donated to the crowdfunder and the chosen artists for their support and understanding. Not only this, to Crumb, Me and East and Ruckus Marketing for Kindly sponsoring the show.

So what happens next?

All of the funds raised will stay to one side for the exhibition. The exhibition “Visual Storytelling” will take place in mid to late 2019 and we have been promised this.

As soon as the contractual issues are sorted, the date will be confirmed for all. We personally feel that as we have been given more time, we can take this exhibition to the next level and implement more talks and events for the space to make a more meaningful impact amongst the local community. We are already brain storming ideas and ways to do this, so please watch this space.

I will begin sharing the work of our six chosen artists over the coming days and weeks. Our chosen artists have created gripping and astonishing photographic stories and we cannot wait to share them for you. So, for now, please accept our apologies for the delay in our show. We look forward to bringing it to you in mid to late 2019.

Kevin Dixons scheduled talk on Tuesday the 14th “Some Torquay Legends” will go ahead as planned at the Artizan Gallery in Torquay.

Watch this space for more news and announcements.

If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Thanks for understanding! – Sam
