‘Lux’ is a series of photographs of contemporary life. Close attention to light builds a sense of the fragility of home, depicting a personal, interior response to the exterior world.
The series represents this fragility that is both personal and anonymous, from the details of the sofa to the sharp shadows, they represent something that once was and has fragments of the past. The juxtaposition of the warm brown tones and the dark purple represent the past haunting the present; something that is always there. With this haunting feeling of the home, it builds this sinister and alternative view on the series, giving the viewer a wide open interpretation.
