Dragonflies is a journey that encompasses struggle, curiosity and hope for new beginnings. From nymph to dragonfly, this creature must shed its exoskeleton multiple times before venturing out into the unknown; reborn time and time again – unlearning what the world has taught and intuitively discovering new life. During this exploration, I have found stillness and beauty, becoming a witness to new life during the spring season.

Danielle (b.1996) is a South African / Swiss artist currently based between Falmouth, UK and Switzerland.
“For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the intangible. The stars, the sky, the mysteries of the world and universe alike. Our experiences in this world are core to my practice and my curiosity has led me to make art with foundations that touch upon my spirituality and on-going questioning about the relationship we have between ourselves, the earth we reside and the Divine. Using photography and other mediums such as painting and sculpture, I aim to explore these ideas through visual matter to verbalise what cannot always be easily written.”
