Estefania Hidalgo – Dancing Devils of Yare

I come from a country where part of our culture it’s defined by Catholicism. It’s engraved in our customs, the way we define marriage, the way we celebrate holidays even our role in society is partly define by the religion. Whether you believe in it or not is not really important because is part of all of us, engraved in our psyche. I decided to recreate a religious festival dance in order to try to understand my culture and therefore myself.
