Life Is Precious You Should Cherish It.
My intentions of this project originally started by looking at Spiritualism as a religion, documenting the churches and mediums. However, as this project has progressed it has turned into a journey that looks at the visceral nature of life and death. Along this journey I have explored the concept of energy in us as beings in relation to the metaphysical elements of life. During I began to experiment with the idea of energy, time, rhythm, astronomy etc as a way to almost make sense of life. Given the current circumstances of COVID-19 the reality of death has been so prevalent in many people’s lives, specifically the closeness of it. With this in mind it has made me embrace the terrifying nature of death and analyse it in depth. This whole experience of COVID-19, my final major project, looking at birth, death, decay, spiritualism, energy etc has made me analyse what it is that makes up life. There are so many different aspects of living that make up a life, it’s not just being alive but it’s those who surround you, your family, physical elements such as one’s body, your physical health and mental health. More recently I have started to branch into the metaphysical aspects of life, in terms of time, space, cosmology and cosmogony, which is why I have introduced the use of NASA archive to juxtapose us in the day to day and the intangible aspects of life.
